XCMG Brazil becomes the first construction machinery manufacturer in China to receive CMMM Level 3 certification for its overseas factory.

Recently, the "Capability Maturity Index (CMMM) Forum" hosted by the China Electronics Technology Standardization Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology was held in Shanghai. The forum, themed "Standard Upgrades, Overseas Practices, and Ecosystem Expansion," brought together leaders from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Shanghai Municipality, academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, experts from the National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee, and over 500 representatives from manufacturing enterprises and universities to discuss the practical application and international promotion of the intelligent manufacturing standards system.

XCMG as an industry representative, signed a joint initiative to "unite corporate efforts and deepen the application of intelligent manufacturing standards".

At the meeting, the Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee awarded CMMM certificates to the first batch of overseas factories. Leveraging its over ten years of experience in digital and intelligent manufacturing in the Brazilian market, XCMG Brazil achieved the first CMMM Level 3 certification for an overseas factory in the construction machinery industry, marking the successful implementation of China's advanced intelligent manufacturing standards system in a large-scale overseas manufacturing base.

In 2012, XCMG invested in and built a factory in Baso Alegre, Minas Gerais, Brazil, taking a key step in its transformation from trade exports to local manufacturing. For more than a decade, XCMG Brazil has consistently adhered to its localization strategy, promoting the transformation and upgrading of its industry towards "high-end, intelligent, green, service-oriented, and global" development, and building an integrated system of "research, production, supply, sales, service, and finance".

In 2024, XCMG Brazil made high-quality progress on the "No. 1 Project" of intelligent transformation, digital transformation and networking. With the goal of building an "overseas leading factory", it deeply integrated advanced domestic manufacturing concepts with local practices, promoted lean production processes, digital management models and intelligent production line equipment, and accelerated the formation of a new pattern of global operation visualization and intelligent decision-making, becoming a demonstration model of digital manufacturing in South America.

In today's rapidly evolving global manufacturing landscape, the driving force has shifted from cost-driven factors to a comprehensive contest of technological, standard, and brand strength. This CMMM certification is not only a significant breakthrough for XCMG in the field of intelligent manufacturing, but also a vivid example of its accelerated efforts to "go global with its standards."
